The bridge connecting Hong Kong to Macau and Zhuhai via land, which was inaugurated in 2018, revolutionized transportation between the cities, making travelling more efficient, comfortable and streamlined. Gone are the days where taking a ferry directly from Hong Kong airport was the only option in order to arrive in Macau, or Zhuhai.
This practical guide aimed at MICE organizers, explores three options available in order to reach Macau (from Hong Kong airport) via de HK-ZH-MO bridge.

Option 1: Private Transfer by 6-Seater Van (up to 4 pax when carrying luggage)
For those seeking a comfortable, direct, and private transfer, a 6-seater van is an excellent choice. You can clear immigration from inside the vehicle, as long as your passport is from a visa-free country.
This option provides exclusivity and ease for travelers who prefer a hassle-free experience.
| Vehicle Type | 6-seater private van |
| Capacity | Up to 4 passengers with luggage |
| Travel Time | ~50 minutes |
| Price | HKD 2500-2700 |
| Night Surcharge (23:00 – 07:00) | Additional HKD 800 |
| Waiting Time Surcharge | Additional HKD 600 per hour (first hour free) |

Cons
- Not suitable for larger groups with excessive luggage.
- Most expensive option.
Option 2: Hong Kong Airport-Macau Direct Bus
For those looking for a straight-forward and comfortable way to travel between Hong Kong and Macau. It provides a direct connection across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) without the need for transfers. Your hold luggage will get directly sent to the bus, meaning you don’t have to carry around heavy pieces of luggage.
This option also means that you stay inside the international area of the airport, meaning you only have to clear immigration when arriving in Macau.
| Bus Ticket Price | HKD 280 |
| Travel Time | 45 minutes |
| Connection Time | Minimum 60-minute connection between the flight arrival and the bus departure |

Option 3: Taxis and Shuttle Over the Bridge
For experienced travelers who prefer flexibility and affordability in their journey, combining taxis and the HZMB shuttle bus offers one of the fastest and budget-friendly options. This alternative allows for independent travel while still keeping costs relatively low.
This transport mode is recommended for experienced travelers, since you have to clear immigration, leave the airport, make your way into the Bridge Port by taxi, and then take a shuttle bus to Macau.
Please be aware that Hong Kong taxis only accept cash, meaning that it is advisable to whitdraw Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) at the airport ATM.
Also be aware that you need to take the blue taxi, not the green or red one.

Option 4: Charter Bus from HKIA to Macau
